69% of Odessa Respondents Stated Their Decreased Financial Position

69% of the Social situation, sentiments, and orientations of Odessa population study participants stated that during last year their financial position has decreased.

Only 5% of respondents claimed improvement of their situation, others felt no changes.

According to Ukrainian service of BBC, the survey was conducted June 2 through 9 by the research workers of the Mechnikov National University sociology chair.

48,5% of the survey participants say that life is hard but bearable. About 13,5% complained of imposibility to afford even necessary products (only 10% of these were in April).

44,5% of the respondents told that they can afford food but buying clothes and footwear presents a problem. About 10% can afford everything except a new car and apartment.

Questioned were 800 adult persons with permanent residence in Odessa. The error margin does not exceed 2%.
